Panzerschiffes your Alaska......It's a good ship.....it's also the 'bullpups your rifle' of ships, which means it's both a good ship, and funny to think about.

1930 engines (always 29kts)
New bow to be better seaboat
New 133/45DP for secondary & better deck armor.
1930 technos materials.

As you know, I've been doing a ton of refits and refurbishments,
Part of that is to keep up with the Byzantines, as I scrapped and built new I would have fewer hulls for all my needs.

But...sometimes I think I should have just scrapped all my old ships so I could build MORE shiny new ones.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Quote1933 CV new rules => Modifs SS from CV3 class - 20940t - LD 1932

Quote
Ships can undergo a Basic Refit when the hull is 75% completed for no additional cost or modification to construction time.

Puzuldeniz 13340t => 64% built
Kripodeniz 8840t => 42% built

To install an armored deck and a reinforced hangar floor, the armor distribution is changed.
It was 3376t and becomes 3767t.
To find the 390 t, :
8 x 191/45 removed
The length of the armored citadel is reduced from 208m to 145m
(65% of the length)
The number of aircraft is reduced to 56.
Misc weight adjusted.

Hull and engines => no modifs.

I've found the Atlanta/Dido also too expensive. I've rebuilt a couple old cruisers to explore the role, but my choosing guns&armor over speed mean most of my ships have good secondaries, and I just did extensive refits to update my fleet AA. So the need for a CLAA seems lower. The new DD classes mount DP guns as it is.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,

Comparable to my Robah 'Fox' class, but I consider that a fleet destroyer.
We make slightly different choices, and yours is a couple years newer.

With the 12 knot cruise at first I thought it was very short legged, but you have
a long range at that speed, so we have almost identical bunker loads.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest
