Byzantium builds a new DD class, TB & TGB every 2 years.
In 1932, 1933, D8 class (12DD) will be rebuilt from 1000t to 1100t with 120 guns.
The 1900t D15 class (8DD) will also be built.
In 1934, an evolution of D15 class (1900t) will be started.
A class of colonial TB or DD (900t-1200t) will also be started.

for 120 tons, 13% more, you get a much better gun. The 58lb round fires a little further, but has 79% more impact.

It's a pretty good 1100 tonner.

Difficult size range to manage.

I just can not fit all the things I want to on a 1000 ton hull,
or the 1100 ton- that was the starting point for the Gurg/Vakharz classes.
The replacement Saihgus is 11% larger than those but 15% larger than this.

For 8000t cruisers - 1933, Byzantium test several projects,
mostly:
4T2x191 - 31kts - 13000nm - B100
6T2x191 - 30kts - 12500nm - B100
The project with 6T2x191 is selected because its 50% greater firepower is preferable to 1 additional knot.

Interesting pair of ships.
I have many of my ships built years after I originally wanted.

In this case, 2 x 2-gun mounts for 6 guns is problematic,
both for not enough barrels (2 x 3-gun/triple needed) and
as these twin  234mm mounts instead of turrets is likely going to be viewed as far to slow rotating/training/ and firing by whomever is overseeing the battle.
Add in that you have heavy armor and the mount and the training weight is even higher. Roughly 1,177 rotating weight vs. 621 for the USN guns that were too slow.

Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest
