Foreign Navies build or have plans for 1500t destroyers.
Byzantium is also studying 1500t Destroyer.
The last project is an Atlantic Destroyer with 7200nm range @ 12kts (oil 400t) equipped with 2 double 120mm turrets and 10TT of 533 (heavy Torpedo) Hydrophone and DC. Speed 32kts.

I'm happy I have heavy secondary batteries...
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

These ships are going to be laid down.
I think they are in agreement with the new rules on seaplane transport.
Misc weight can be distributed differently...

Posted August 14,2021

The aeronautical officers have requested a lengthening of the ships in order to be able to maneuver the SHORT 184 seaplanes more easily. The hull has received an additional 10m module.
This made it possible to increase store volumes.
The class increase from 5200t to 5550t.

=> Rework Antalya class Seaplanes Transport from 5200t to 5550t - LD1919

These seaplane transports are also intended for working with battleships squadrons.
The role of seaplanes on land and on board is to locate and provide informations on enemy forces and their movements.
Assistance in adjusting shots.
Hunt enemy aerial reconnaissance.

It's got a bigger gun, but is it more effective than five 40t MTB?

Jefgte

QuoteIt's got a bigger gun, but is it more effective than five 40t MTB?

Probably a better and more efficient platform in heavy seas.

Waves height is a problem for MTBs.
