A) You may call it whichever you choose- it's yours :)
Interpretation :  In Navalism, the bay has an area suitable for deep draft ships <=10m. Apparently the merchant harbor there invested in dredging equipment.

B) At this juncture I am not adding "Port Symbols"   When that province is developed with IC, it is assumed to have 'port facilities'.
Interpretation : In Navalism, Brisbane harbor has sand bars or rock outcrops that require improvement before use. The bay exists, the entrance is dangerous.

C) I will change the map to show you conquering #3.

I give Brisbane (4) and Cape York Peninsula (Cairn) above "1" to Foxy.

Byzantium will take "1 - 2 - 3" as well as the regions which adjoin them in light brown

This map should highlight Byzantine / Japanese Moves for HY2, 1914 and HY1 1915 (Or later).

ROUND Dots are the HY2 1914 moves.
RECTANGLES are the HY1 1915 moves
The Dashed line is the overland supply route the Japanese will have to use to settle Cape York Peninsula

That would be correct, I do believe the other Byzantine port makes for a shorter route (only one province to cross instead of two). Plus the rest of Queensland being claimed by Byzantium next half.

Yes it's only 2, but you can only expand through 'owned' provinces.
If Jefgte does not choose to claim the province to the North in HY2 1914, then it will be in the process of being colonized in HY1 1915.
So you'd either have to wait until HY2 1915,
or march around the Gulf of Carpentina.

Since Jefgte has an IC at Port Darwin, he can supply Japanese expansion to Cape York.
