Twin casement mounts?
These appear to be at freeboard deck level, in which case they have the 7" face shield, but are not protected by the upperbelt armor.

Your 1899 6" guns can be quickfire if you like.

Hey single casements !...also can be QF and currently on deck completely unshielded

From the pictures, all are supposed to be 'below deck'.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Kaiser Kirk

For my purposes, unless otherwise specified,
I figure the upper belt starts at freeboard, and covers down.
Then the main belt starts.

So for Fuji, that's
4.27
1.83
-0.61

That's actually reasonable for that period.

For Katori,
4.57
2.13
-0.92

Still ok for the period.

But Shikishima
4.57
2.13
0.31

That's a bit shallow. Somewhere in the 0.5 - 1.5 range would be about right for the period.
While diving shell wasn't even a consideration, from a practical point of view, at normal load, the wave period might expose the underhull,
and it would take very little roll to expose it occaisionally.

Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Desertfox

Those should be single mounts. I do need to fiddle around with the secondaries and extend the belt height on the Shikishima.

That should be all of the capital ships. Ten battleships and four battlecruisers. Cruisers are next, eight in four very similar classes.

Unsurprisingly, the Tsukubas ended up being remarkably similar to my old New Switzerland Constitution class.
