A while back I got a large number of papers from my Grandmother relating to my Grandfather's service in WWII. He was in the US Naval Reserve and worked on LSTs in the Pacific. Included with these papers, which are all so cool, was what seems to be a copy of the logbook for LST 485 from 1st January 1944 to 30th June 1945 with some additional content until 20th February 1946. I bribed one of the records techs at my office with a good lunch and he was able to scan the document for me. It should be searchable as well, fully OCRed.

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
