As a note: If you want to sim historical Chinese ships, I have the book "Chinese Steam Navy, 1862-1945" and so can provide both details and pictures. ;)

Walter

Thanks, but I'm going for a navy that does not require wind. ;D

Walter

Did some fine-tuning here and there and will drop a couple of designs in order to get a decent fleet within the limits.

Shortened the Shanxi design a bit so it fits in a Type 1 dock. Dropped her weight slightly to 13,000 tons (with the startup fleet, it is easier to calculate with 13 BP instead of 13.something BP). Dropped speed a little and upped the armor a bit.

We are using light displacement, not normal. So you have some additional tonnage.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

I wasn't sure and thought about asking it before posting the design... but in the end assumed that we would be sticking to N3's normal displacement and posted it.

... so I guess I will need to do some more fine-tuning then.  :)

N3 always used light, it was N5 (or whateverthehellitwas) were we changed to normal for somereason.

Can you link the historical 200mm/45 that you are using?
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
