I was bored but no SS3 to work with. Here is my answer to all the AQY ships, Von der Tann, meets a Japanese destroyer... Just a study atm, I am not sure how to model the freeboard in springsharp.

And yes no one can match me in weird ships...

Upload the SS2 file and ill convert it (why cant you use SS3 btw), one thing I can see right off the end 8" guns cant be raised (I proposed somthing similar in the mod forum and it got WAY shot down), and the 8 gun broadside secondary will be a no go (if you look at some of my proposals they arnt that diferent from yours just limited to 6 gun per side broadside)... if you think that is wierd though you must have missed my Saint style predread.

I'm on winter break and don't have SS3 on my laptop. The 8" guns aren't really raised, the 11" guns are lowered, but you can't do main guns below freeboard on SS2.

Cant in SS3 either, which is why my foreward 11" twin on the REs had to be raised (I would have had to place the 8" twins below the freeboard and well you cant)

I saw your designs, actually considered something similar but wasn't weird enough for my taste. One was basically an improved Kearsarge, and the other Satsuma with a Q turret replacing two of the secondaries.

Why would 6 broadside secondaries be illegal? The Dantons, Edwards, and Satumas all had them.

6 is legal, 8 isnt.  Right now in the drawing atleast your showing an 8 gun 8" broadside (since both of the midships turrets are definetly capable of cross deck fire).  I have played around with a Crapload of diferent layouts, mostly because I wanted to do AQY ships but with so many other people doing 3 turret ships I felt I should do somthing diferent.  Although, you have given me an idea (fear it when I decide to get wierd)

Thanks, although will have to modify the drawings eventually as all the ships are quite small being less than 400ft overall, as I based them on by small coastal battleship.
