There are two ways to fix this: the first is to make the main belt longer (to do that, you can either adjust the length of the belt directly, or you move the forecastle and stern breakpoints further from the center of the ship, making the forecastle and the stern shorter).  The second is to reduce the speed, that will reduce the amount of space needed for the engines and hence the amount of belt length needed to protect them.
