So, what are people planning for their nations?

Hmmm. OK, just finished working out some details. What do people think?

Roanoke:
$2000
Shipyard
Steelworks
Arsenal
Construction
Machinery Plant
Aircraft Works
Boutiques (x4)

A metropolis dating to start of the Settlement Era, Roanoke is the largest city in the World and one of the modern era's dominant centers of the fine arts, particularly those of stage and screen. The World's most prestigious schools of music, dance, and drama are all located in Roanoke, as well as the World's largest film studio and television and radio networks. It is the origin and most populous stronghold of the Ianist faith and the center of Croatoan heavy industry and higher education.

Ajacan:
$400
Boutiques
Dirt Farm

Although the oldest of the secondary Cities of Croatoa, Ajacan is barely half Roanoke's age and a fifth the size. The City's primary exports in the modern era are fine wood products, both Terran and Native. The latter, harvested from living climax steelwood forests, command prestige prices Worldwide.

Pensecola:
$400
Boutiques
Dirt Farm

Although the festivals and parades that create the reputation are of great antiquity and cultural merit, Pensecola is still undoubtedly a 'happening' party town. A significant proportion of the city's economic income derives from the tourist trade in 'parade season'.

Swandale:
$200
Boutiques

When Swandale was founded, its environmental plant was modified from the standard in accordance with the then-current theory that the gender imbalance in Croatoan births derived from environmental quirks inherited from Roanoke's algae banks. To help maintain the city's oxygen balance, civil ordinances were instituted encouraging the private growing of gardens and greenery, and the Gardens of Swandale are both a tourist destination and the foundation of thriving exports in perfumes and luxury foods.

Popham:
$200
Dirt Farm

Popham takes a perverse pride in its title as the most boring City in Croatoa, nurturing a restrained, private subculture whose lives revolve around the terraforming effort and the lifetime job security of work for the Central Government. It is perhaps inevitable that Popham is also the source of most of Croatoa's military volunteers.

Charlesfort:
$200
Boutiques

Charlesfort's international reputation rests on the Croatoan Zoological Garden, where visitors can enjoy the sight of Terran species bred from carefully preserved genestocks and bloodlines and sustained in entire sythetic ecosystems. Originally located in Roanoke, Charlesfort's physical plant was designed around the Zoo's needs and has has permitted a substantial increase in species density and genetic diversity. The need to maintain the Zoo's genetic management and artificial gestation devices, originally brought from Earth-That-Was, has also made Charlesfort a Worldwide center in human fertility services and lostech electronics.

Caledonia:
$200
Dirt Farm

While the terraforming project constitutes the largest single share of Caledonia's economic activity, it is the associated 'out-towns' and their mining camps which have brought the city prosperity. Located within convenient distance of several rich loads of iron, copper, and bauxite ores, the City is a keystone of Croatoan industry.

Newbern:
$200
Boutiques

Newbern is a City whose name is synonymous worldwide with what most decry as vice. With the World's third-largest casino and a variety of nightclubs catering to every pay scale, this reputation would probably be inevitable, but Newbern's municipal law goes farther and explicitly licenses and regulates a sex trade on a scale not seen since the Fall of Bangkok, and does so in a fashion even its worst opponents acknowledge as sanitary and free from coercion.

Weymouth:
$200
Dirt Farm

Weymouth is a boom town, a newly founded City whose population is still barely sufficient to operate its infrastructure and industries. A forward base for further expansion and well-sited for interaction with the larger Worldwide economy, Weymouth's service sector is as yet desperately undersaturated and heavily dependant on imports of all sorts, fueled by national money and clearcutting of native life for fermentation and liquification.

Nobody

I think I will call my people "The Technicians".

Most of their forefathers either having developed/designed the ship/vessels which brought them to Terra Nova or having been in charge of maintaining it/them. It was also them who had made the fright list of stuff that would be vital for their survival and necessary to build a new industrial society. Unfortunately it wasn't until after they had set off before they noticed that politicians back on earth had decided to cut the costs of the project and removed everything except some very basic equipment they had gotten second hand.
As a result they are proud of the many artifacts they managed to maintain until today against all odds and that they finally managed to build new ones which are starting to get competitive against the carefully preserved relics.
They also don't like or trust politicians very much...
