I've narrowed it down to Korea, France, a strong Poland (like Poland before it was divided between Prussia and Russia), or a union of Belgium and the Netherlands. Any thoughts on these choices?

Fallout needs a place to play, if he wants to play. Thoughts on that? I think N. America should be out, so maybe we should concentrate on Europe or Asia?

Well, three of the Chinas appear to be left open- Asia would be a simple place to land.
Open access to the seas and plenty of neighbors, just right for a new player.

Poland is the only other option I see... and that one might be kind of rough for a new player.
Basically, Poland's player would need to be prepared to start "cut off and surrounded."

I'm going to have to 2nd Carth on this one. Europe is pretty full ATM and, as he said, Poland is about all that is really left.

North America is pretty full, as you said, but we do have an opening in California if Blooded really isn't coming back.

Europe....there is an option, if we're willing to split France into Bordeaux France and France Proper, but I doubt its an option at this point. The Frisian Empire might be an interesting choice.

I do believe the best option is East Asia, tho. Besides what we have to offer in the China's, the Phillipines could be a potential option, although I'm not sure if those are reserved for colonization yet.

My "sales pitch" focused on Asia. He just got back from a research trip, so he is playing catchup with a few things. will talk it over with him tonight if we both have time

Sorry to take so long to respond, but I have been a bit on the busy side do to unforseable happenings.  if anything is still available for the reboot I would be interested in playing.

As the de-facto mapmaker for our East Asia theatre, I can inform you that the Chinese Kingdom of Wu is still open, as well as Korea.

Might be others in Europe and North America, I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure North America is full, and as for Europe I think the only thing viable would be a Lithuania/Poland or the Low Countries (and history says both are in bad places, but that's IRL history, here can be different.)
