Treaty of Alexandria

Being that the nations gathered here in the Ancient City of Alexandria desire to create a stable, peaceful and profitable relationship each with its neighbors.  The Republic of France, Kingdom of Egypt, and the Empire of Italia do hear bye agree to the following Articles.

Article 1:    The signatory nations agree to the establishment of a joint commission to establish a fair and equitable exchange rate between the currencies of all three nations.   The fluctuation of currency values being counter productive to free and equitable trade this commission will work to establish set currency exchange rates to make trade between the signatory powers more efficient and less prone to fluctuation.

Article 2:     The Signatory nations agree to establish Duty Free trading ports with the other signatory powers in North Africa.  For Egypt this will be Alexandria.  For France this will be Port Said and Port Suez.  For the Empire of Italia this will be Massawa on the Red Sea , and Tobruk and Benghazi in the Mediterranean.  In addition the Kingdom of Egypt will set up 4 Tax free areas.  These will be Damietta, Zagazig, Port Sudan, and Maarsa-Mattruh.

Article 3:   The Kingdom of Egypt agrees to guarantee a set percentage of the new resources to be exploited by joint investment of the Empire of Italia and the Republic of France to those nations at fair market value.  In return the Empire of Italia and the Republic of France will expand the ability of the Kingdom of Egypt by investing in its mineral extraction, Oil extraction and exploration industries the sum of 75,000,000 Lira and Francs. [OOC: $75 Each]  Said investment will take place between now and the start of Fiscal Year 1920.

Article 4:    To help the Kingdom of Egypt expand its own internal markets the Empire of Italia and the Republic of France will help the Kingdom of Egypt construct railroads from Alexandria to Cairo and from Cairo to Port Said.

Article 5:     To aid the Kingdom of Egypt in its goals to provide for and protect the Citizens of Egypt the Republic of France and the Empire of Italia will proved technical data on the following technologies to the Kingdom of Egypt.

1.   1909: Engine Year 1912 20,000 HP per Shaft
2.   1906: Oil Firing Boilers
3.   1904: All Big Gun BB/AC wing turrets
4.   Advanced 750 Ton Destroyers
5.   1905: Army Mobilization- Ability to maintain 2 Reserve Units per 1
                 Active or Mobilized unit.
6.   1910: Historical 1914 Aircraft
7.   1900: Underway Re-coaling

Article 6:    The Republic of France and the Empire of Italia agree to establish a University of higher education within the City of Cairo.   This university will be funded by the Republic of France and the Empire of Italia jointly and will be staffed by all three Nations jointly.
