When the guns are concentrated on the same space, a hit could disable 2 or 3 guns...

Prefer "on side, evenly spread"

I like, other than the main belt height.  Have you considered trimming the deck to 40mm and increasing the height of the main belt some?

Main belt is now 4 meters in height in place of the 3.1 on the previous design.  I optimized the ship a little bit and only pushed displacement up a very tiny amount to keep the 50mm deck.  I also ditched the 50mm battery all together and put some 12.5mm machine guns in their place.  Problem is its a VERY large ship.

I could shove over the stability bar to get the 70+ steadiness and still have over 1.1 stability its just where the center setting came out to.

28.2833 knots is what 39,000 SHP comes out to.  If possible I like to do round SHP numbers; one of things I miss about older versions of SS.

I agree w/ sgdn..I Like It!!..also if you liked the shp setting in older SS versions you'll like SS3 once it's finally done, it has a power setting OR a speed setting. You can input either number and it figures the second for you.

Only bad thing is I don't think the belt gives enough protection. I am debating lowering the belt to 100mm and increasing the height.

She's a good adversary to the Demarce III cruisers, both types.

Yup - 3" is plenty. Save the 4" belts for cruisers displacing 10K+ tonnes.
