Note: These "basic" rules apply to '1910' tech-tree level aircraft.

Aerodromes

A Turf airfield costs $1, and includes hangerage for up to 60 aircraft.

Aeroplanes

The basic unit for the purchase of Aeroplanes is the Squadron. An up to early WWI era Squadron consists of 20 aircraft.

One Aerodrome's worth (three Squadrons) of up to early WWI level aircraft costs $0.1 from the military budget.

There are no maintiance costs worth including in the Sim Budgets for this era's aircraft.

I'm currently busily at work on rules for the acquition and upkeep of "1913" and onwards tech-tree level aircraft, and I think I may be on to something for that. But this, IMHO, would work to cover up to early WWI, when aeroplanes were still called 'kites' with very good reason.

No need for any rules for 1906 level aircrafts.
The first purpose of a warship is to remain afloat. Anon.
Below 40 degrees, there is no law. Below 50 degrees, there is no God. sailor's maxim on weather in the Southern seas

OK then I'll go and chan...

/REALITY SHIFT/

...it says right at the top '1910', don't know where the 1906 stuff came from.  ;D

Back in N-Verse 1.0 I proposed some rules for planes, unfortunately they got lost in the move. Basiclly what I proposed was to pay for the aircraft factory not the aircrafts in themselves.
