Ithekro, Im going to have to kill you  :P

The bad thing is that I cant match it with something faster.

What's with the gun layout? Looks strange.

It looks like the guns are both grouped in the center so that the armor belt can be as minimal as possible. Still, could it cover the magazines and engines on that ship and be that short? If not, is it really worth building... because it simply becomes a really expensive breakwater. And even if it does cover the parts that go *BOOM* when they get hit, it still has paper-thin (unarmored) ends that can easily be picked at or obliterated, depending on the caliber of gun used, in order to sink it.

Why does it feel France is way beyond the  navy of 1906... (because the latest BB build in france was the Greater Napoleon)

Well remember, all the French warships up to Greater Napoleon are my fault...though that ship was your idea.  That the French haven't built much of anything new since the last Danton was finished...well that seems to be an internal political problem.   Maybe they were building ships for foreign countries instead of building ships for France?

The disaster of Greater Napoleon and the machiavelisme of Premier Palpaté did put an end on all domestic warship construction. Only the fast flottila ordered in the UKA is modern. All the rest is older than 1900.

1905 was to rough to get the French back on track. And now, another matter arises.

Small and relatively weak fleet but the Super Cruisers are sure to give the Swiss headaches. Have aspirins been invented yet?

Super Cruisers: when it absolutely, positively has got to be sent to Davy Jones overnight.  ;D

I like 'em. Note that the DKB would be willing to sell guns to Firanj...

The Supercruiser Hand of Thrawn would laid down in the middle of 1906.

The four older round battleships would be scrapped early in 1906, the money from their scrapping would pay for the French Battleships and the two submarines, while the recovered material would be used to assist in the construction of the Hand of Thrawn.

Resolve would have just finished at the end of 1905 and ended her trails early in 1906.

Heh, heh.  This is what I think the designer was going for originally...I like this design to a point.  Basic difference would be that the turrets are lined up in a cross at a 90 degrees from bow to stern verse and cross at 45 degrees off of the bow of stern.   This version gives a 8 guns broadside or fore and aft.  The other version gives a 8 guns shot at any 45 degrees angles from the ship's centerline.

Room for accommodation and workspaces is cramped
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Poor seaboat, wet and uncomfortable, reduced performance in heavy weather

I find it interesting the the Hand of Thrawn is the only ship in the fleet that will have more weight of broadside than this one surviving round battleship...and it will only have 14 kg more weight in the broadside over the round ship.  That is probably why I'm keeping this monster in the round.

This is cute:

Block coefficient: 0.654
Length to Beam Ratio: 1.00 : 1

I know it's round. The 1:1 is simply cute.
But this:
Block coefficient: 0.654
looks kinda wrong :)

I don't know.  That's the original specification from the Caliphate of Cairo.  I only changed the engine year and guns and a little extra weight for the torpedoes and a small wireless so they can report any infidel nearing the Seaway of Rightousness to the Lakes of Many Tears.

A Round battleship approximated as a floating disk has a BC of 0.785, so 0.65 should be OK.
