The Ottomans are building their first submarines, the D-1 class. "D" stands for "Denizalticilik" (submarine). 4 were layed down in 1/1918.

nice drawing, but isnt the Coning tower/gunmount welded on basakwards?
It is their first submarine, you can call it a technical "error".
Deck gun faces aft. It's for flavor :)

*Shrug* ok I can buy that but the Coning tower still looks backwards (atleast to me)
I was sort of going for something like here: http://www.uboat.net/wwi/types/index.html?type=U+3
Russian Typhoon class had a similar 'extended forward' sail design, IIRC. Granted, those are from a very different period, but as far as I know there's no mechanical reasoning behind the convention of placing the 'extended' lower part of the sail aft of the higher section.
cute little sub - and the lower front section of the Sail looks good
gun at the back - seems to make sense if mostly used for defence, are you going to add MGs at the front?
It might carry something man portable like an 8mm, but the ottomans aren't all that concerned with AA yet.
These four are really experimental get started sort of subs.
