So a slower Nverse version of Dumbkerque...er Dunkerque.
4x15cm secondaries on a broadside is imho inadequate. Or are they on the centerline?
TBulkhead should be 35mm minimum to offer any resistance to blast.
Weak belt armor compared to deck.
The earliest you could lay down the ship is after you finished developing the quad turrets themselves - that is, 1918?
I agree, the secondary is on the light side for my taste.
In most other respects...a tough customer, if she gets to fight a battle on her own terms.
27.5 knots will let her do that pretty handily.
She's a nice ship, though I (like P3D and Rock) would like to see more secondaries- perhaps a pair of twins on centerline and a single twin on either side? That's the same number of guns, but in a better, more flexible distribution.
Also, is the 12' belt enough?
Belt height: good catch. However, the ship has 18.5' freeboard, that means the armored deck is only 2.5-3' above the normal WL (less than 2' at full load, even less in tropical conditions). In this case the MB depth is OK, but the ship WILL suffer from flooding over the deck due to hits just above it.
18.5 feet... very wet. Far too wet for the North Atlantic in the winter time.
I do not envy the guys having to man anything not inside a turret *hands them safety belts*, and I hope those have some awesome weather seals.
Why would 18.7' freeboard equate to a very wet ship? That's actually a high freeboard by Nverse standards.
Just increase freeboard at stem so the wet warning disappears.
Eighteen and a half feet?
In seas that run 10-12 feet on a good day, and can get in the 40'-50' range in a storm? That's why I said 'awfully wet.' Having a wet ship, seems to me, would be relative like most other things in SS. A ship in the Gulf with a 18' freeboard would be a dry ship because of the average wave height; a ship working the G-I-UK gap with the same would have some wet, miserable crewmen on deck.
http://www.stormsurf.com/locals/natla.shtml
That's the only reason I figured that it would be wet... the local conditions are just a bit rough. For the North Sea (barring storms) she'd be as comfortable as in the Gulf.
The Maori are obsessive about sealed turrets for quite good reasons. ^_^

If the belt is inclined 15 degrees I think it need to be at least 1m higher/deeper or it will give too little protection.
Other then that I think the ship is unfocused, it tries to be several thing, but not very well.
She is quite fast, but for a 1917 "fast" ship I should say 28-29 knots make more sense, but it is overkill for battleline work.
She got an impressive firepower, but it drives up her size allot, and her protection is not that good given her size.
IMO too large and slow to be a good battlecruiser in the 1916 generation, but that the same time lacking protection for be a true fast BB.
