Post by: Tanthalas on November 07, 2007, 11:57:07 PM

Lower the caliber of the  12 secundaries to 5 -6"  in single deck mount and hoist weatherproof armored protection and put 20 on her.  A few tertiaries with anti airship capability would be nice. (evenly distributed, sides)

Reduce main belt to 10" and end armor to 4"
Reduce range to 6000Nm @ 10 kts

Use all the extra weight for more speed.

If you want more gain in speed.  1.5" deck armor, evenly distributed, non superfiring main guns

Don't forget the .5% misc weight.

the irony of it was that by the time I got everything figured out for spain 2.0 had broken down, and I had no idea what had happend.  Went to class everything was fine came home and the forums had bene formated, and there was a post from some guy about the return of the admin.  In all honesty she would have bene a BB in 2.0 but I had some obsesion with calling everything a heavy cruiser, that was the big one I have a smaller one to it was HSMS Guam which truely would have bene a cruiser.

Took me like 6 months to figure out where everyone went when 2.0 melted down LOL, then i wonderd for like a month why noone had told me what was going on and invited me here =P

Im actualy tempted to work somthing like her up for my curent tech, ill have to play around with it later.  I have way more hp per shaft and shafts available than i did in 2.0

LOL i gave it 240 shells per main gun... that thing would shoot forever

You'll notice the French 275mm's have 300 kg shells,  effectively only 1 kg less than your 11" shell.

Also, the 140mm guns have 42 kg shells.

This makes that the French ship, even having less salvoes - 240 shots for every barrel is about 2/5th to much, even for more modern guns- putting out a heavier broadside.

And, Imagine the barrelwear after 150 shells trough a 100 shot barrel....

Its not all that different from the my last class of BB's.  Of course I didn't build those...  Its a nice semi dreadnought over all.
