Ahoj!
What would be a good free board hoting server? The fewer features the better.
Yuku which blighted warships1 ... well .. yuks.

You'd have to be cuckoo to go with Yuku.

Why do you ask?  Looking for alternatives for Warships1?

There's Xsorbit  and invisionfree (Navalism 2).

Neither one has the single most important feature that most members of Warships1 apparently desire (threaded posts), though.
