I think the cable should branch out on the island, not in the middle of the Java Through ....

The DKB cable would probably have a branch from Neue Heligoland to Firanj.

I made a map about the Firanji coastline. The only problem is that OTL Keeling island is right at the end of the NW Firanji peninsula (I guess someone put it too ME from the  origial position).

I believe I was forced to move that island 5 to 7 degrees North of there.

The political borders and world map will need to be changed again once this mess in the Pacific settles down...or at least once some firm known border/ownership of islands in known.
