New Privy Counsellor - Stefan Bogoridi Efendi, a Bulgarian - brought in for Abdülhamid II's* Divan (council). This is an extremely surprising move, showing a softening of Abdülhamid's hardline stance towards Turkish dominance within the Ottoman state.

Glee at the collapse within Muscovy and the creation of Kiev. Fleet assets shifted away from the Black Sea and towards the Adriatic and Aegean.

Mining rights established on the island of Spitsbergen, and an inital settlement is built at Yenipazar (OTL Pyramiden). Small armed presence.

* - I've retconned myself from Navalism 2.0's Suleiman III (an ahistoric Sultan). Abdülhamid was real and his personality will be fun to play with.
