Ok, The designer of the Hannibal proposal got a firm kick at the posteriour, and is now designing wooded furniture dowels.

2 proposals, both on the same hull.
( range is exchangable for cruising speed 9000Nm@10kts or 6000Nm@12 kts)

The heavy gunned version.

The Rock Doctor

I'd agree that the second design is better.  I though France used 100 mm guns, rather than 105 mm?

maddox

Nope, 105mm , thanks to Ithekro.
Several Nverse French gun bores are a-historic.
France did have 75mm guns, not 70. The 140's forget it, 130 was closer to the call.

The Rock Doctor

Fair enough - GC has been using some Island Commonwealth calibers since the amalgamation.

Borys

Ahoj!
I like the Anaconda 3x2x7,6" version.
On point - the 8 inch barbettes are unnecessary. The Upper Belt reaches up to weather deck level and shields the barbettes. Thus 5 inches is acceptable - i.e. 5 barbette thickness + 1/2 of UB. I'd spend the gained weight on End Belts.
IMO a very nice 2nd class AC.
Borys
NEDS - Not Enough Deck Space for all those guns and torpedos;
Bambi must DIE!

maddox

#80
The Anaconda is also more liked by Minister Dupuytren, but he insists on adding the superior 140mm gun to the ship.

But, Borys, I changed as you pointed out
