I do like this little hitter. 20 cm guns are enough to worry everything in the French fleet.
But with Rockies comment on the single wing turrets, and a little tweaking of the SS file, couldn't you fit on 24cm guns?

I dont understand why everyone is going over to the Torpedo Bulkhead bandwagon. Im the one who has suffered due to torpedoes and I dont have them. Also TBs only work on beams greater than 80'.

If you made those wing turrets into singles, for a 2x2, 4x1 armament, and adjust the length of your belt, you could probably then decrease the draught of the ship substantially.  That would provide greater speed on the same machinery.  And you'd still have a six gun broadside, which is not bad at all for the displacement. 

Here's a mixed-armament version of the arrangement you described, with 4x250mm (twins) and 4x200mm (in singles).

TBH I'm amazed that this fits on this displacement. If I bring it to a uniform 200mm armament I could increase speed further.

Only France has 2 ships with a Torpedo protection. And those are the modernized Magenta and Marceau.  Who BTW are stationed in the far east.

All the rest are design studies.

Look at all of the new ships Maddox. I bet you that at least half of them have a TB. France at least has a reason for it.

Not Spain, neither the 10,000 Ton AC's or my projected battleship for 1907 has Torpedo Defense.  The AC I felt was too small to have a real torpedo defense and the BB I felt it was out of the zone time wise.  Whatever I build after it will get a torpedo defense.
