Other than an apparent error with your engines, it looks good at the moment.  Of course, you'll have to ask me again in 1911...

maddox

That is a long term investment....

Question. Are we to use SS 3 beta, or stick with SS 2? Cause that sim looks a lot like SS 3 to me. :)
Looking at navweaps, I think it is more likely that the secondaries will have 150-200 rounds, but that is just my opinion.
Maybe you have some sinister plan in mind with that many shells per secondary gun. :)

We will be using SS2.
SS 3 is, well, a middle beta.
I think there is a die hard SS1 user too.

Perhaps I should go back to the Dark Ages and figure out where on the HD I have left Spring Style. :D

I'm not sure why that error is there - I think that's just a problem with the beta.

I plan on using SS2 as well - I just simmed this in SS3 for kicks. I'm really looking forward to the ability to sim mine rails + torpedo reloads.

I'm sure you're right - I just doubled the 150 round default for main guns as a guess. No sinister plan, although I do want to emphasize the strong secondary battery.

As you can see I don't plan on advancing past 300mm gun calibre any time soon, but I do have a lot of research to do on capital ship secondaries.

*brandishes SpringStyle right here*  ;D

... come to think of it, will the use of Springstyle and springsharp be included in the rules? :)

Primitive => Pencil and Paper guesswork (-3)
Dated => Springstyle (-1)
Baseline => Springsharp 1 (0)
Advanced => Springsharp 2 (+1)
Cutting Edge => Springsharp 3 (+3)
;D

I like that freeboard picture. When I sim the Okuni or the Tachibana, it really looks like the freeboard which the Yamato had.

Which is why Navweaps is a good source. A number of guns do not have the number  of shells per gun given, but there are enough guns that do have that data to give you an idea what to use. Only gun I have encounted so far of roughly that caliber with more than 250 rounds is a German 15 cm/45cal gun, where it says "U-Boat cruisers:  500 rounds"
