Once again, hit post, tabbed away. Old habits are hard to break. Costs me posts.

For those not up to date, Estimates based off potential build rates are included.

At the bottom are summaries of the average of the original 6 PCs.
Snip's design is NPC strengths are fixed as a % of that number.

You'll see there is quite a range of different industrial bases and tonnages.

Land/Air points vary a lot,
Rome, Parthia and Wilno have the largest armies,
While the Norse, Rome (both estimated) and Parthia have the largest air forces
Which should be taken to mean the "Big Bad" Golden Horde is quite strong.

Oddly, Laksamavati has a larger air force than Japan (Estimated) and Wilno.

Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,

I'm here to build ships, not count air points, so that's my excuse.

Kaiser Kirk

That was Snip's goal with the Points system.

I wanted to follow Kwold's proposal for Land unit design, you remember the ugly arguments with Italy's curiously world-beating planes in Wesworld, or folks getting outraged that Iran would dare think of making B-17s...

Snip wanted it simpler.
You buy points. What they do is determined by tech. You're free to add story elements. But the only thing you *have* to model is the warships.

Of course, the largest airforce in Navalism is...the Golden Horde's.

Joy, so Aztec Spitfires and Corsairs tangling with Golden Horde aircraft that are twice as numerous but half as good.

Too bad, I would have liked a little annual growth for the NPC that we bring to life.
Like $0.25 & 0.25BP per year.

As the original PCs grow, the NPCs grow. If PCs started at 25BP and the NPC was set to 60%, then they had 15BP. But when the PC average was 40BP, the NPC would be 24BP.

It saves having to track each NPC each year.

My little experiment with Laksamavati , I did turns from 1910-1936 to see where they could have been
had they done turns. They benefited from having a smaller navy, as that gave them more $ to spend. The result was not greatly different than their assigned %.

It was also a way to find out what the NPC research should really be. As suspected, much closer to the PCs in Tech. The system is designed to allow catching up, and one should expect the NPCs to be close in tech.
