The Totanis class is being taken in hand for a Secondary Battery Modernization. One of the ships with a combination of 140mm and 100mm guns in a anti-light ships setup, the configuration has been found to be less than reliable due to the sheer amount of shell splashes. Totanis is being taken in hand first as the other classes with this heavy secondary setup are in need of more extensive rebuilds. This refurbishment completely overhauls the secondary battery along the lines of LBS-26; the 140mm guns are now in deck mounts with hoists, the Anti-Aircraft Battery has been brought up to modern standards. The Fire Control System is also replaced wholesale to accommodate the changes.

The Isca class cruisers are due for an Anti-Aircraft battery refresh. This refit replaces the torpedoes and old 100mm guns with a modern battery of 57mm and 28mm guns. Due to the extremely tight build of these ships, they are unable to carry the same ammunition loads as more modern ships. The refit also adds a single catapult with accompanying armed recon plane.

The Rainier Marion's are the oldest "modern" destroyers and the genesis of the current line of Heavy Destroyers. While the reclassification is going to alter how they are described, they are in need of an update. This sees the replacement of the long 140mmL55 with the L40 version found on more modern examples. Additionally, they receive additional AA guns, and a quadruple 610mm torpedo launcher in place of the old 530mm fish.
