Quote...The carrier is interesting, I think to limited for my taste, but similar fighter carrier concept to the Bazdari class...  fun to see a range of options out there

CVE studies will start from this SS with an increase in the air group, armament or both.

QuoteMore economical than a Destroyer and more effective in fighting against MTBs which proliferate in small Navies,
these TGBs can work with 27kts colonial cruisers.
This class seems more appropriate to me than a 1400t DD.

Australian class, Byzantine Empire TGB700 laid down 1929

Displacement:
   700 t light; 742 t standard; 797 t normal; 841 t full load

Now this TGB780 is a light destroyer & can work with TBs & DDs.

Not bad as a general purpose patrol craft.  Though the speed being low enough that most cruisers and even some new capital ships can outpace it handily gives me concerns about it being able to survive or be effective as an offensive platform.

The Rock Doctor

It's a decent balance of capabilities.  I'd take it over the preceding 500t design.
