Jakob Ellehammer of Neue Kiel has made the first successful flight by a heavier-than-air craft in Brandenburg. The craft flew for a distance of 42 metres at an altitude of 50 cm.

Swampy I would recomend waiting. The war is only at October 10th so far, a lot can happen in 39 days.

With all due respect - you guys fighting the war need to pick up the pace a bit.  You're moving slower than real-time.

Desertfox

We are about to pick up the pace, it was delayed while we sorted out the Keeling mess.

Well I'm waiting on orders.  After that it is all chance with such a reletively small area of engagement and everything having to move by ship fom one island to another.

Best guess is that this was not the desired result of the actions at Keeling, and thus one side has made rather elaberate plans while the other is gettting ready with orders that may be just as, oe even more detailed that the one with the elaberate plans.

Not really, but as I have not been at home for the last week, I do not have any of my notes and stuff available, so i have to re-write everyting I have done in that area.

And as I think micro-management really should go, my orders will be extensive, but general.
So more about How the Netherlands defence works then exactly what they do, that I leave for my military commanders.

Desertfox

I already sent mine. Did you get them?

I dint have elaborate plans, but a few days off with nothing to do but look at maps and think, gave result to some quite elaborate ones.

As far as micro-managing what I try to do is explain Swiss tactics which sometimes border on the unconventional and crazy.

Crazy is one word for it.  I've taken that into account in the dice.

Desertfox

What?! Your crazy! Battlecruiser charges are valid tactics! As is closing to pistol range! You just wait untill I kill your machine gunners with my lancers! Now where did I put those kamikazes?

Rabaul Reporter

The schlactkreuzer Scharnhorst, having completed its sea trials satisfactory, was expected to be opened for public tours here yesterday, as final preparations for service were made and his crew given leave in our beautiful tropical city. Instead all of the ship's men were recalled, the tours cancelled, and work was observed to proceed frantically through the night loading supplies - and, observers noted, a complete supply of ammunition. At approximiatly 0530 Scharnhorst slipped his lines and left the harbour in seeming haste...

"The Germans have ordered General Mobilization."

"So soon? We werent expecting them until next month. Can we do a preemptive strike?"

"We dont have the forces in place and its best to let them throw the first stone."

"Wheres 4th Cruisers?"

"They just sailed."

"D*** we could have used them. How soon until they get back?"

"Around the 30th would be my guess."

"Well maybe not everything is lost. Get me the location of Schanhorst ASAP, and inform 1SG."
