So the question for the group is...

A) We do HY2 1924 the weekend of January 6-8th.

OR...since Snip/ Tac / Fox have apparently been busy much of the past month,
We pause until

B) We do HY2, 1924 the weekend of January 28th.

My Vote : "B" - I actually have some hopes of having the time/energy for posting like 'news' stuff, and
getting my encyclopedia back up to date.

I start to work on 1924H2.

I'm ready but certainly willing to wait for others to do what they need to.

I think we're waiting for later date,
then I want to get on the monthly schedule again :)

My apologies gents.  Between work, and someone deciding to start a Kriegsspiel called 'we're going to fight the whole bloody civil war from scratch'....my time has been basically killed the last month or so (and I'm not the idiot that started said kriegsspiel, just one of the idiots roped in to umpiring it).  However, tonight my time is free, and my intention is to get the absolute nightmare that is 24-1 done.

Welcome back, no worries,
We all get unexpected demands on our time.

A Civil War Kriegspiel sounds interesting. Some battles, like Chancellorsville, make far more sense in Fog of War.

Well, Foxy's involved, so I can't reveal much.  But we've had some very interesting battles and campaign moves so far and it's only July of 61.

Fun, yeah he mentioned you introduced him to Kriegspiel.
I finally got to see some of the battlefields in 2017 - Lookout mountain, Harper's Ferry, Antietam, and Gettysburg. Helps in understanding those battles better, but at the Campaign level there was a lot of blind fumbling unless your cavalry was up to the task.

Heck one of the things I really fault Grant for is how he took command in the field...kinda. Meade still ran the Army of the Potomac, but Sheridan would go over his head to Grant. While Meade & Burnside both reported to Grant.  Sheridan's failures in the wilderness campaign and the disjointed command I think is why Spotsylvania wound up the way it was.
...but I digress...

Between real-life and Kreigsspiel (blame Tac and ironically Chancellorsville) Ive been busy, but Back and should be ready to go by the 28th.

I'm basically Grant in the Civil War game, just trudging along out West fighting logistics more than rebels, while everyone is focused out East.

Kirk, could I get a list of losses from the war? Need to update my OOB and we can probably assume a Korean War Ceasefire for now.

That's not readily available, I assumed you were taking care of tracking your own losses as I reported them.
I'm in a busy stretch, I don't have the time right now to go back through stuff to figure it out.
Perhaps next weekend, but it might be two weekends until I can find that time.

Sorry I've been absent. Wife and I got taken down in sequence (she got it first, then we were both fine for about a day, then it was my turn to sound like Batman for a week and a half) with what we think was RSV to close out 22. Completely unrelated to that, an ongoing health issue for her finally hit the breaking point of requiring surgery, which is scheduled for beginning of February. I'll probably be in a mental place to catch back up sometime after that.

Thanks for the note, snip.  Here's hoping the procedure goes well and her recovery is smooth.

Kaiser Kirk

Hey Snip,
Good to hear from you,
sorry the news is not better, but I hope all goes well for you two.

We'll talk about the Iberian invasion of Cuba later...
