I don't want to bend the AUX rules.
I prefer to build Patrol Gunboats.

That is what I wound up doing with my Mackerel class. While it was slow enough, to do the role I wanted, I couldn't get under the 2%, so I paid full price.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Yes.

The 'Main Guns' part in the reconstruction/refurbishment rules is not well worded.
That should probably be revised to 'turreted guns'.

Deck guns, even if the 'main guns' can be basic refitted to something else.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Jefgte

For TGB650:
It is not a reconstruction but a choice to be defined for 1922 construction.
3 x 102 => 30 to 45 rpm - 14kg shell, or
2 x 120 => 20 to 24 rpm - 22kg shell.

Ahh sorry, I misunderstood.

I really think you should go for an all 8mm MG layout.
My ships would really appreciate that.
...
I will leave my OP Force's gun choice uncommented on, unless asked.

Oh, peeking at NavWeaps,  I think those ROF are high when compared to historical mounts.
However, with longer ranged shots, there is a limit on ROF due to the need to spot for accuracy,
something that can be disregarded when one starts to hit.

I may have anticipated / misunderstood the rule:
Quote
1920:  No restriction (high or low) on caliber of turreted guns. Cruisers under 3000 tons may have composite hull strength > 0.75, Cruisers under 8000 tons may have composite hull strength >0.90

This techno is just 5.00$ in 1924H1... not 6.00 => techno not valid.

Byzantium TGB800 (1922) & TGB860 (1924) are SS with " Cruisers under 3000 tons may have composite hull strength > 0.75 "

I think that they must be 0.9 not 0.75 ... ?

Yeah, always awkward when tech advancement isn't quite where you think it is when you start a ship.
