The navy of the Vilnius Union is formally known as the Marynarka Wojenna Zwiazku, or MWZ.

The traditional ship prefix is Okret Zwiazku Wilno (Ship of the Vilnius Union), abbreviated OZW.

Ship types and acronyms:

I'll probably go through the encyclopedia and apply these over time.

Battleship:  Pancernik is the convention but Okret Liniowy (LN) was "ship of the line" and I like that better.

Battlecruiser:  Krazownik Liniowy (KL), basically "Cruiser of the line"

Armored cruiser:  Krazownik Pancerny (KP)

Heavy cruiser:  Krazownik Ciezki (KC), which I haven't used yet

Light cruiser:  Krazownik Lekki (KK)

Protected cruiser:  Krazownik Pancernopokladowy but the acronym is KM (Maly = "small") to avoid another KP

Corsair:  Korsarz (KZ)

Monitor:  Statek z Wieżyczką (WZ), literally "turreted ship" since there was no USS Monitor

Torpedo Boat:  Torpedowiec (TR)

Submarine:  Okret Podwodny (PD)

Submarine Chaser:  Scigacz Okretow Podwodnych (SO)

Sloop:  Slup Wojenny (SL)

Corvette:  Korweta (KR)

Patrol Boat:  Okret Patrolowy (PT)

Gunboat:  Kanonierka (KN)
