1919.5 Expansion

so will run to Tuesday Evening.

This is the current tracking.
I've adjusted for Rocky's catch on the Wilno colonies.
He, as allowed in the rules, left 3 garrisoned while conquering extra, and only built 1, so the -2 is correct.

I have added two new columns, to track Homeland IC and BP.
So now each player can see relative position in Homeland IC/BP, colonial IC, Various non-naval points, etc.

This marks the first time I've done the expansion on the new computer.

Unfortunately, I got it and moved files, but had problems with the graphics...which turned out to be the video card

So I sent it back...in the meantime did HY1 1919 on the ~14year old overheating computer.

So my filing structure is a little mucked up, apparently didn't move some of the HY1 1919 stuff. *sigh*.

Anyhow Tuesday afterwork I'll do any changes and chime the bell.

Apparently not :)

I went through cyberpower PC, where you can pick which components you want, and they put it together.
So I researched it all, and settled on an early quad core, an Asus motherboard, and an oversized power unit,
went with Win Xp instead of Vista....and then like 7 years later in 2014/15 upgraded it to Win 7, a new Nvidia card and more RAM.

But it had started to overheat extremely easily, I think the NVidia card was failing.
I had to open the case and point external fans at it. Working under an open window helped too.
Probably could have redone the thermal paste and gotten a bit more out of it....
...but it was ~14 years old.

Since I was "on duty" for 50 days last fall, paid 24hrs/day, normally 14-16hr shits, but drawing overtime for every hour over 40 in week..
I could buy a new and very nice computer without feeling fiscally irresponsible.
So it was bummer to get it and have issues. Cyberpower was quick in fixing it though.

Ten year old computer here, updated the video card 5 years ago, but its starting to fail now. Right when video card prices are skyrocketing...

Btw I have 1915 Amphib complete and I believe a few others do as well, not that it really matters anymore.

Its insane how much of the world Wilno and Parthia gobbled up...

I'm not actually expanding this turn.  Gonna finish some IC, polish up some boots, shine up some bayonets, and go for it in 1/20.

Your 1919 report lists you as Completing the 1910 Amphibious Tech, commenced in 1917.
As far as I know, several have finished that one, none the 1915.

There are several things "I would do different".
Doing a Reselection of claimed colonies with the new rules in 1912 would have been good.
But at the time, there wasn't the desire among folks for that,
and the work load just to get the new system up and going was enough.

Oh yeah I meant 1910, that should let quite a few launch up to 5 invasions per turn and use 1/3 of their deployment points.

Yes, the Amphibious Tech column above lists 4 nations with 1910 tech, including Japan.

I try to scan the Research sections for that tech's status. Yours was 'complete'. So good for next HY.

The Offensive Amphibious lift column should be already adjusted to reflect that.

However, I have to change the appropriate divisor manually when folks advance.

I suppose I could make a nested IF statement for the divisor, pointing at the tech field,
but that just resembles work :)

Ethiopia : None ( limits of what Anchorsteam described, and current development).

Iberia : 2 in Dakar Area,  1 upstream Congo.

United Berber States :
1 column attempts to sieze SW Mali, is rebuffed by advancing Parthian columns.
1 column advances into SW Niger
1 column seizes the fertile ground on the banks of the Benue river in northern Nigeria.

Player Nations :

Aztec  :  Expands in Kansas, West Africa.

Japan : Expands in Montana and SE British Columbia.

Parthia : Infills in the hot place (Nevada), thwarts the Berbers in SW Mali, Links interior Territories on the watershed divide of the upper Zambezi, and connects territories North of Lake Victoria.

Yeah, the Mayan storywar would have been nice to tell,
unfortunately Maddox had a number of things in his life going wrong.
I hope that matters improve fairly soon for him,
and hopefully he will even be able to return.
