1915 HY 2 Expansion phase is Open.

My day has not gone as planned, so this is going up late Friday, which 'costs' our European players a day to respond.

As such I will take bids from ...nowish...until Tuesday 1/26/21

This is as best as I can determine, the status of the various Nations.

(Overdue ) Announcement : The NORSE are officially available for new Players.  Until such occurs, I shall start expanding the Norse again. It's been long enough they will have built Infrastructure to allow that.

In terms of filling positions
1) Norse
2) Laksmanavati / Ethiopia
3) Deccan Sultanates / Rajasthan / Maya
4) United berber / Confederation 5 tribes / Thailand

HY2, 1915 Expansion

Aztecs :
Land :
1/1 : North into Arizona.

Byzantines :
Land :
1/1 : West from Mtwara, Deccan Sultanates Withdraws.
2/2 : West from Eastern Australia, Claiming the Outback. Repulse Laskmanavati.

Inca :
1/1 in South Suriname
2/2 in Western Bolivia/Eastern Chile.

Norse :
Land :
7/7 : Expansion in North Armerica.

Parthia :
Land :
3/3 : Expansion in Africa, 1 North of Cape Karoo, 2 Zambezie River basin.

Wilno :
Land :
1/1 : 1 West from Nigeria
4/4 : SW Ohio, SE Indiana, NE Kentucky, NW Indiana
2/2 -> 1 Province South of Belem.

Japan sent after I finished processing, Iberia, and China did not send requests.

NPCs :
Confederation of 5 Tribes move into Michagan.

The Maya expand deeper into the Amazon.

Ethiopia (As this had a short term player, I advanced them to where the player had indicated, along with the agreed Parthian-Ethiopian line of control. Like I have done with the Norse I'll give them several turns to "build", before a more limited advance).

Rajasthan advances 2 west in Africa, blocking the Parthian's easy route to link their colonies. Argh.

Laskmanavati retreats before the Byzantines in the Outback.

Deccan Sultanates retreats before the Byzantines in Tanzania, but takes the Eastern Shore of Lake Malawi.

The Rock Doctor

Thanks again for doing that.

The Rock Doctor

Oh, note that the Green Devil reserve in SW Colombia - a little blob of fertile land between the Incans and the Vilnius Union - got colored Incan grey.  It should, unless things have changed, still be unclaimed.

I think it's easily spotted in the 1/15 map.

Desertfox

Looking at the two maps, it appears the Inca expanded between H1 and H2, there are two more bits in between then.

I knew there was something I was forgetting this weekend, whoops.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

It was already like that in N3  ;)

When did this happen?

It all started when Inca ships noticed new towns sprouting up along the coast North of the Emerald river.

Kirk:

In the absence of a plain-language answer from Maddox, please clarify for me:

-From an out-of-character perspective, when the territory in question came under Incan control.

-From an in-character perspective, when this became evident to the Vilnius Union.

Thanks.

In plain language,

The Inca started expanding from day 1 they came in game.  But yes, with some "less obvious support" from the shogunate, the expansion is accelerating.

OOC,

My life is a rollercoaster atm, and I can't put the time in writing like I would wish for.

I'll clarify that in the appropriate thread.

The Rock Doctor

Sure, we've all been expanding.

My recollection was that the area was shown unclaimed at the end of the 1/15 process, yet shown Incan at the beginning of the 2/15 process.

So I'm not sure how this particular expansion happened, or when, and I need to understand that in order to inform how the Vilnius Union responds to what it will perceive as the Incans breaching a bilateral agreement regarding the disposition of that territory.

maddox

The expansion was ongoing from moment one, and the orders for the Inca surveyors are unchanged.
Stake out the borders without kicking off a war.
