In 1914H1, all 20 of these ships receved modification to fit 1912 Fire Control. Spray protection for the torpedo tubes were removed and the minesweeping equipment was reduced to accommodate this.

DD-71 though DD-80 were sunk in this configuration at the Battle of Ironclad Bay.
