Iberia is going to be looking for designs for battleships, battlecruisers, heavy commerce raiders, destroyers, destroyer leaders, and command warships (i.e. lots of radio and fire control and light Anti-MB/Anti-DD guns for colonial defense duties).  I will post in the next few days what the specifics are.

Kaiser Kirk

Whoo hoo !
Iberia lives !
...
More things to sink !
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

How does 20" guns, 37kts, and zero armor sound?

Sounds like the proverbial eggshell carrying a sledgehammer...what'll it cost me?  ;D

Just drop off an envelope of unmarked non-sequential submarines at the rendezvous spot...

Consider it done... the most advanced submarines Iberia has...

Sounds courageous.  Maybe even glorious.

Hey now!  Screen doors are standard on Iberian submarines! we want to see the glory of previous Iberian fleets up close and personal!

Iberia is entertaining design offers for:

Battlecruiser
     350mm/50cal primary armament
     140mm/45cal secondary
     75mm tertiary
     8,000nm range
     30kts top speed
armor belt sufficient to defend against medium (sub 225mm) fire
Screen Cruiser
     30kts
     8,000nm range
     140mm primary armament
     75mm secondary
armor belt sufficient to protect against light (sub 105mm) fire

Kaiser Kirk

Questions :
The 350mm come in ...Twin/2-gun/triple/3-gun... ? ? ? ?
Are Twin / 2 Gun 140mm an option?
Laydown year is...1914?
8000nm range at...X knots?

Comments

As for
Quotearmor belt sufficient to defend against medium (sub 225mm) fire
For a 255mm @ 850m/s, with a 1910 capped, that is going to be roughly about 195mm at 10,000m, and 130mm at 14,000m (current FC limit)

To stop splinters from a 225mm shell, deck needs to be at least : 225/6 = 38mm

Quotearmor belt sufficient to protect against light (sub 105mm) fire
For a 105mm @ 900m/s, with a 1910 capped,  that is going to be roughly about 35mm at 10,000m, and 15mm at 14,000m (current FC limit)

To stop splinters from a 105mm shell, deck needs to be at least : 17mm.

Bonus
Each Player  that submits 1 or more design meeting the specs gets $1 in HY1, 1915.
Extra designs do not get extra $

If a player wants to participate, but for diplomatic reasons (or their country lacks the techs) doesn't want the nation attached, that's fine with me.
We'll count that as 'Iberian Genius'.

Guests (Lurkers) are welcome to submit "Iberian" designs.

Since Iberia very much has a RN flavor, here you have basically HMS Tiger tweaked to fit the specs.
