Half-sisters of the preceding F-Class, the G class moved to the uqbiquitus 140mmL55 for its main battery.

In 1914H1, all ten of these ships received a refit for 1912 Fire Control. To accommodate this, the non-integrated short-range wireless was removed.

All ten ships of this class were sunk in this configuration at the Battle of Ironclad Bay
