1913 HY1 Expansion

Greetings all,

The 1913 HY1 Expansion is kicking off a little later than planned.
I apologise for the slight delay.

As such, bids will be taken through 2400 GMT on June 2. 
Results will be worked out the evening of June 2.

This is what I have for current resources. I have relabled the columns on the right to clarify some matters.

I expect the Japanese-Sino war to either conclude with a Peace treaty, or have a fairly decisive battle and a Peace treaty, or a battle after which there will be considerable need to repair ships but no treaty.  In all cases the remaining months can be worked out later.  Future wars will go faster.

I will be posting maps in response to this this thread.

Hmm, that table above didn't format very well at all.
...but it is functional.

This is the map from the other thread showing national holdings at the End of HY2, 1912.
I have corrected it for the feedback I got.

Edit : And I have edited it for the missing province...ironically a Parthian one.

I have added a pink line symbol for the Aztec and Inca, to show the difference between Homeland and adjacent Colonies.

Revealed Resources Map :

Resource points are to be revealed 1 year after the province is claimed.
That is to give time for full exploration and prevent adding/dropping provinces en mass to look for things.

That means the 1910-H1 1911 claims are revealed on the End HY1 1912 Revealed Resources Map.

The End HY2 1912 map would reveal the colonial claims of HY2 1911.

That expansion phase is the one that did not happen.

It does show all the columns and rows, but the spacing is all funny.

The Resource points that would be displayed HY2  1912 would be those conquered HY2 1911.
There were no conquests in HY2 1911, so no new ones will be displayed for HY2 1912.

The HY1 1912 Conquests will reveal resource points at the end of HY1 1913.

NOTIFICATION

As the Sino-Japanese war ended soon enough, the original Japanese colonization of Soerabaja-Java   and Makassar-Celebes were both able to proceed in the 2nd half of  HY2, 1912.

If any orders were put in claiming them, I will be contacting those players for a complete alternate.

We have several "Challenges" this expansion.
1) We started late and a little suddenly
2) Tac is not fully available.
3) Guinness is taking China, but a little late to participate in expansion.

I said I would work with folks.

LATE CLAIMS.
Late claims will be allowed this HY with some restrictions :
Byzantium can put in up to 3 late Amphibious 1-province claims until 6/8/20, but may not contest a province.
With China becoming active, Guinness may put in up to 2 late claims when fully setup. All three may make late normal land expansions, but may not contest provinces with these.

This is an early ocean going port in Brazil, allowing this to be a "Coastal Region".

Mod Decision. Maddox has done sufficient work to show Manaus is a ocean going riverport.  Allowing it is consistent with the final Coastal Region discussion.
His forces can reasonable reach through inland waterways from his Homeland – which has IC, but non-contiguous riverine expansion of full Land units and Deployment points was not envisioned.  However, I am going to map it as a seaborne expansion, under standard considerations.

Aztec :
Comment : Tac sent in his general desire for his expansion.

Land : 2 for 2 provinces
The Aztec expand NW along the Rio Grande
The Aztec expand NW along the Pacific Coast.

Amphibious : 3 for 3 provinces.

To reach New Zealand, the Aztec need to sail 6000+nm.  That requires refueling and resupply somewhere in Roman Polynesia, in ports that do not normally carry large stocks. Alternately they could sail 7000nm through Hawaii.  To reach Wake they need to sail 5200nm and resupply at the Kingdom of Hawaii. TacCovert is not available to arrange this with Snip or myself due to circumstances beyond his control.

Mod decision: I have indicated Parthia generally maintains it's ports as open in peace to non-combatants or small groups of combatants.  The Aztec fleet will appear and request permission for resupply.  Tac was also not able to specify where in New Zealand, just 2 ports there, so I put him far away from Parthia so there's no conflict that he's not around to resolve for a while.

This will cause some consternation among the Parthians as an extra demand on civil supplies, but the Parthian forces in Hawaii are sufficient that they could easily repulse this if an invasion.  The Parthians consult with the Kingdom of Hawaii about berthing and R&R rights, and permission is granted. After some extra weeks, sufficient stocks have been built up to allow the Aztec to continue.
