If people want to asign 25T to a ship for "special purposes", it's up to the mod to see what advantage it can yield.

Example.
Crew Morale could be great if the Vinogel availablity is assured.  But abuse of Vinogel can reduce combat capability of the crew.

People are already doing that with 'Extra pumps'.
For some reason the assumption is the normal pumps aren't enough.

I'm still trying to figure out how that should effect,  probably a bonus to SeeKrieg's Damage Control rolls and a consideration in sinking rate...

I (or whoever is running the battle) will do the best  with the description, but the larger the battle, the harder it is to be detailed in a reasonable time frame.

Misc weight is fine for "special purposes", not fleet actions.

I was surprised to see that Nverse7 used misc weight for torpedo's.

On the other hand, we still run into the NEDS issue.

"Additional pump" Better damage control, slower flooding
"Additional Ventilation" in tropical climat
" Good sea boat..."

Better crew work conditions
Better performances during Battle (bonus)

Yep, individual ships can have bonusses in small actions.  But will the better crew moral for a few ships in a fleet action matter that much?

Even with the best crew quarters, the best food, and booze a ship can be a hellhole if the officers ain't a chip of the right block.

I would say, it balances out in fleet actions, and most of the small actions we have seen in the past, were story based.

In this war, because the engagements were short and near home, crew size did not matter.

It is my general intent, once I get to designing a better way to run wars, that ship habitability will matter for long sailings or long assignments.
One thing I need to work up is either an easy data sheet - or, more likely next time just print out the SS's and put them in a binder.
But..with the shelter in place, I inconveniently ran low on ink.

Question on night fighting tech, if the tech is mostly doctrinal, it would follow that battle experience would play a big part into it. Could there be a bonus on either cost or time for researching the next one for nations that have seen extensive night fighting?

We don't have provisions for experience accelerating tech development. Otherwise folks could just write stories saying they did lots and lots of practice.
