Ok Postimage is still not doing uploads.
There is a per-post attachment limit.

So I have split the map into West and East sides so we can move forward.

A little clunky, but best I can do right now.

West
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Kaiser Kirk

OK "East" was too large.
So..Africa
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Kaiser Kirk

And...hopefully...Asia
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

So yellow things are good and red things not so much?

Ok so this should be a hotlinked single map of revealed resources.

Since I've now had 2 people ask.. the legend I posted applies. I've reposted it below.
Red dot - poor
gold square - rich.

The BIG question is... does this symbol set work?
I can do a Hot Pink Square...might show up better.
I can go with fatter horizontal lines instead of crosshatch- might work better for Iberia and Japan.

Once I have the symbol set down, I'll make a map with the legend on it.

I spend a remarkable amount time making maps for work with GIS- side effect of my profession I did not anticipate.
There, if I don't have a standard symbol, I just usually try to figure out what the symbols needed are, how readible it is, then make the map, and when set, make the legend.

Would the triple production stack with the benefits of the good land quality?

If you have prime land, the IC costs less to build.
If you have Rich resources, the resulting IC produces more. (actually the easy access to resources boosts your overall economy).

That's the concept.
I was torn between Double and Triple.
I don't think there are so  many such spots as to disrupt the overall economy at triple,
and it makes those spots very desirable and worth guarding.
Snip's Texas, with those oil fields...will demand guarding.

I feel like triple could be a bit much. Perhaps see how it goes with double and then increase it to triple down the road if needed?

As for Japan I switched the color in my personal maps to a light blue like in your flag avatar. That might help make it stand out more.

Ah, okay, so my first run through the spreadsheet over-estimated some revenues, then.

Not a bad suggestion, and I debated that. In the end I realized there's no 'good way' to test the two approaches.
The player complaint was lack of province differentiation and a reason to value one over another, another complaint was overly long development times.

I think the Triple answers both, and makes those provinces desirable. ..not not game breathtakingly so. There's so many regular provinces that the boost of the rich ones will be limited.
The double may also do so...but the triple will answer those 'better'...I think.
In the end, there may be a 1920's economic crash....but I really want to get folks used to telling their stories, designing their fleets, and moving the world forward first. :)

Overall, my guess is we're going to wind up with a lot of $.... which will spur BP production....I think.  That will also lead to the Refit rules being more attractive as they cost alot but are economical of BP.   That also might be part of the Armored/Aircraft equation, as historically those took up large budgetary chunks.

I may follow your lead on the national colors. The color of the Port Symbol might stand out more.
Right now I'm just racing to try to get workable products out, then can tinker later.

So rule changes are being rolled out, which is great, but I remain confused on a point:  I have it in my head that the port symbol, once occupied by a colonial power, comes with a pre-built IC.  The rules indicate cheaper costs to build IC, but no mention that I can find of coming with an IC.  Did I misunderstand?

There were two alternatives for Port symbols
A) A free IC with Each Port Symbol.
B) +5 Homeland IC, reduced development costs for Port Symbols.

During the discussion it was pointed out that if Port Symbols had IC, then they were developed and did not need Garrisons.
Also, while the goal was to provide more income so folks could develop provinces faster, as some folks had grabbed more harbors, the effect would be disproportionate.
Considering the Parthian colonization strategy involved grabbing good strategic ports, I also started to suspect I may wind up benefiting more than most....all of which made A seem like
less of a good idea, and B) the better choice.

So during Implementation I specified we'd go with B), everyone gets +5 Homeland IC in HY2 1912, and -$5 to develop port symbol provinces.

Easy...very easy...to get a little confused, or to miss a step :)

Also,
I'm in the process of posting up the final map set.
I have to add the interim Iberia/NPC claims to the revealed resources.

They have legends attached.

Future editions can be improved if ideas are provided and work.
Otherwise I expect to just update those each half year and make a new post with a new 3 maps.

Okay, so we're not as rich as I thought we were.  Thoughts for the clarification.

Heh, well Parthia had claimed 24 Port Symbols.  At $1.5 / IC, that would be $36 in revenue.....so yeah ...not as rich but far more equitable.
I think/hope the combo of the extra homeland IC  and lowered development costs should lead to a 'boom'.
