Awkward.

Maybe I should check my rebuild to confirm...

On the bright side they are cheap...but yes, when I was debating if I should wrest Uruguay from you the relative size of our capital ships and the fact I could in fact support a fleet there and you could not was a factor in my favor.

However, I settled for 'almost as good' arable land and a fine port in Bahia Blanca and presumably made Snip's life easier in the process.

Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

I appreciate that.

I also wonder how I overlooked this important detail.

You have built many monitors (useless)
Reuse part of this tonnage for fleet tankers.

This does not change anything for the other players (monitors are very negligible) and saves you from breaking your shipbuilding plan.

As player - I disagree.
Supply vessels are cheap. Build to mercantile standards.
Previously, Vilnus had no need of them, and chose Baltic vessels.
That is rational.

IF support vessels were required to establish colonies, then of course he should correct the oversight.
But they are only relevant if you get in a fight in distant places.
Which can be 'fixed' through diplomacy or where you choose to go.

There are things I would redo/reconsider if I redid my build plan.
The more I appreciate the limitations of older ships, the more I regret paying extra to field more of them.

I think I'll just assume that the Union didn't bother with auxiliaries, has been relying on chartered civilian stuff these last two years, and is scandalously only just now getting around to building its own.

I like my monitors.

For the Baltic the monitors are fine.

The Deployment Points are an amalgam of resources, including chartered Civilian freighters, which you are using to support the Land Units holding the territory.  You have those.
Resupply vessels would be to support warships out in your colonies.  You can eventually get those.
