Apparently this is about 3,700 nm @ 15 knots, compared to a Fletchers's 5,500 (though it's obvious a much later and heavier ship than what I've got).

Point taken on endurance.

The high speed range is something I'll have to review as well.  For now it is what it is until I get geared drives and the generally improved 1920s ss3b ships. 

That said,  the F class will probably take that into account.

Building a FLETCHER in 1919-20 on a 1500t hull is impossible, you have to balance your choices...
Guns, torpedoes, speed, range.
Place the 4 sliders however you want without creating glaring weakness.

It is, but that's me conforming to the sketch.

I believe it is actually a post-WW2 Soviet concept with 18" and 9.2".  I'm not certain what the tertiary battery would be in that case, so just went with my own 130s.

The quad turret aft is actually 7.1-inch. IIRC the twin mounts were 57mm AA...

The Union has over a hundred Type 1895 harbour patrol boats in service, doing basic customs/coastal patrol work in its many ports.  With a top speed of nine knots, they're showing their age.

A new series of harbour patrol boats will start construction in 1919.  They carry the same minimal armament, have just enough deck space to fit in a boarding team, and can travel a longer distance with a top speed of over twelve knots - still not fast enough to fight warships, but good enough to catch up to most civilian craft.

One imagines these will get jammed end-to-end-to-end in a couple of large docks rather than being built in a bunch of small ones, particularly since the Union has a lot of those tied up with MTBs.
