LOL, awesome 'line drawings' Borys.

Even my girlfriend- who's not exactly the most 'historically minded' person- loved them.
Unfortunately, there weren't any American girls up there... wonder what a South Dakota-class would look like when done in that particular 'style.' ;)

Considering how the Japanese seem to view American women stereotypically with um, larger upper works than Japanese women, for some reason I'm seeing U.S.S. Tennessee as a Dolly Parton sized vessel.  Others would be lesser than that, but generally larger than the majority show for the other nations.

Back to the topic.

Some German line drawings - original plans for that matter.

You can usually find a meter-scale on the waterline or at the bottom of the page.

And some French Line Drawings too.

The first purpose of a warship is to remain afloat. Anon.

LOL... yeah, I'd figure that the South Dakota's would be rather 'fully packed' (36-24-36... only if she's 5'3" :D) due to their compact design. If the Tennessee would look like Dolly Parton, I think that the Alabama would look more like Mia Hamm (born in Selma, would ya believe it!). ;)

P3D...

Thanks, that's JUST what I was looking for. I've got a good idea for my 12" and 13.5" (biggest worries) BB turrets, and now I just need to collect the measurements for some of the smaller ones. That should get me set!

This coud be an USN warship - the superstructure and turrets are IMO American style.

I knew of Canis's 'dump' but didn't know the scale of his work. Mow that I have a good idea of about what size my turrets would need to be, I can simply go through and select parts and pieces from his stuff that would fit my needs.

Thanks!
