To those like Rock Doctor, who do their own line drawings:

Where can I find data on turret sizes for various guns? NavWeaps has the gun lengths, but no info on the turrets. It's a lot easier to figure out how to make a realistic ship if you can at least decide where to put the guns. ;)

Anyone know some good sites?

Truth be told, I've extrapolated most of my gun dimensions from drawings in books such as Jane's WW1.   I had difficulty finding the sites you're after, and eventually just gave up.

Carthaginian, a good starting point for a line drawing is to find something similar and historical, and modify the pic.  Or, if you want, feel free to tinker with the pics I've posted.  The scale for those is one pixel = one foot.

Borys:  let's not be giving Walter any additional ideas for madness.

While am far from as skilled as Dr Rock, I think i should add that i think it easier to draw in a slightly larger scale, i use 1 pixel = 50cm for the most time.
When i started i did use 1 pix = 25cm, but it was much more work for something that did not look better at a distance :)

The few feeble tries I did were based on Canis D designs. Just copy/paste in paint.

But on the warship projects forum more of the artists are around.  Seawolf for example. Or Gravina , who did the Republique...

I must admit I'd be far better at drawing the *ahem* new lines than the conventional battleship lines.
(When I was a student my drawings were in high demand with my fellow -and only the male- students... ;D)
