In 1913 all 20 ships of this class were updated to receive 1912 fire control and 530mm torpedo tubes.

DD-51 though DD-60 were sunk in this configuration at Grand Turk while DD-61 though D-65, DD-67, DD-68, and DD-70 were sunk in this configuration at the Battle of Ironclad Bay.
