QuoteIMO, build one class in 1894, not 1893 & 1894
Baldr is based off HMS Majestic and Njordr is based off HIJMS Fuji and originally I had the Njordr simmed as an 1895 vessel before I pushed her back to historical 1894 (so originally I had 2 years between the two classes). It happened OTL that the first ships of different BB classes were laid down in consecutive years and even in the same year... so why not here as well. :)

Looked for name ideas and in the end decided to apply the names of the various counties to the armored cruisers.

Walter

I kinda felt that there should be a stepping stone between the Tyrone design and the Wicklow design (coming after this one) when it comes to speed. While thinking about it and looking at other designs, I saw Kirk's Armored Cruiser Knight which was kinda what I had in mind. As I did not want to make a clone of it, I started to mess around with SS and thought it might be an idea to put a pair of superfiring 155mm turrets on the centerline just for the sake of making it look different (and a bit more unusual). As it is not based on anything, there is no image to accompany this design.

There are some very nice designs here, congratulations!

I'm a bit confused about AC Selkirk. If I'm reading this right the Main Battery layout is AB/Y with "B" turret NOT superfiring. Secondary Battery layout is 2 twin turrets ("C" and "X" positions, both superfiring with "C" turret double superfiring) plus 12 wet casemates. If "B" turret is not superfiring then "C" turret doesn't need to be double-superfiring. Or am I missing something?

Love to see a drawing of her if possible...

QuoteThere are some very nice designs here, congratulations!
Thanks but all credits should go to the original designers and builders of those ships. I just attempted to convert the data of those ships into Springharp (with a few minor tweaks here and there). :)

Good catch. B turret should be superfiring over A turret. *goes back to correct it in springsharp*

Yes. Guess I should try. Originally I had a single secondary triple turret aft and after a bit of tweaking, I decided to add a second one forward and then for some reason I decided to turn them to twins. I might end up with a drawing where I use triple turrets for them so I might turn back to that again. Depends on what I find when it comes to the weapons. :)
