I cant recall it being written down anywhere, but I think that 1900 was the date that wireless would come along. Of course you can refit with wireless, just account for it.

For 10t, the account is minimum (0.01BP & 0.01$ I think)

I cant recall it being written down anywhere, but I think that 1900 was the date that wireless would come along. Of course you can refit with wireless, just account for it.

In the tech development thread, I posted something about when it came into use , an excerpt is as follows
QuoteThe first use was to communicate from ship to ship with special emphasis on scouting and reporting on the position of the enemy. During the annual manoeuvres of 1899 and 1900, the value of wireless in this role was clearly demonstrated.

http://www.jproc.ca/rrp/nro_his.html

So I would concur with 1900 as the date.

Jefgte, my previous comments regarding Armored cruisers was in reference to your 16000t ACR4 design, which resembles one of the alternatives I explored.

The comment regarding minimum of 88-100mm thickness to allow Krupp process to work adequately is just separate information.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

For short wireless, 10t, cost is 0.01BP & 0,01$.
For 1890 AGB1, LD in 1890 & commissioned early 1893, first refit is in 1903.

... I add a line in Byzantine Empire plan to add wireless refit cost.
I suppose that it is similar for Top fire control & new guns...
