So where are we at?

So what all do we still need for moving on to 1901? I think the various nations that took bites out of AH need numbers on that still. Anything else?

Thank you for the time and effort :)

I apologize for the lateness - the weekend is pretty much over.
The number is 0.6 POP for SudTirol with 0 IC.

I put up a pair of news stories, both of the right but one is overtly of fruit cake land.

I updated the economics for 1900H1 and I will post 1900H2 soon.  Followed by 1901 H1.

I will include Austria in the 1901 H1 economics.

Missing anything?

Darn it,
I forgot a chunk.

QuoteArticle 8)  The Austrian Crownlands known as Küstenland, including the City of Trieste, that portion of the Duchy of Carinola west of the Julian Alps; and the portions of Südtirol which have a preponderance of Italian ethnic inhabitants, shall become part of the Kingdom of Italy fully equal to other parts of that Kingdom.

Technically, it should be understood that the crest of the Julian alps was what was referred to. Not that it really effects  people as mountains are rather sparsely inhabited, but the point was a defensive line.
That led to this post in my news:
Quote
8.1.1900
News of the Treaty of Constantinople breaks on the front pages of the Italian papers, leading to celebrations in the streets of major cities. The news was slower to arrive in the new territories, but met in a similar pattern of celebration.

So could I kindly have a number , guessing not much 0.1 for that chunk of Carinola.

Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,

The population of that region is low compared to the rest of Carinola, hence - you get 0.05 pop from it. (Even then it's probably an overestimate)

The region has barely 0.1 Pop present day.

That's actually good. I was hoping it wouldn't have any significant population, as I didn't want a sizable slovene chunk on my side of the border.

However, new thoughts keep bubbling up.

In my news, I alluded to allowing time for the Austrian navy to relocate to Germany.  While Austria lacked the coastline to bother with any major vessels, I presume she had some patrol craft and cruisers that now would follow Austria into the German Empire.  Likewise, all the Austrian Army units I presume entrain for "Home".

The question becomes - what facilities did they have in Trieste? It wouldn't be the historic size, I am Guessing a Port with a Dock and a Slip and that's about all.

Whatever the Austrian Fleet is, gets scrapped.  I simply don't want to deal with it.

Darman

I say give Germany approximately 15BP-value of ships that need to be scrapped.  Have him pay $15 for the scrapping services (and then receive 15BP after X amount of time) or let him sell scrapping rights to others for the same deal.

miketr

Scrapping rules are 1/4 normal time and get 15% of ships cost in BP and cash back.  So for 15 BP worth of ships that turns out to be 2.25 BP and cash.  To turn that BP into cash at $1.25 per BP gets another $2.81.

Are you suggesting a change to the scrapping rules?  I dont see why anyone is goig to pay $15 to scrap the ships its just not worth it to get the BP back when people are turning BP into cash.

As far as I am concerned the ships are just another $5 after being broken down unless a case can be made otherwise for them.

I'm putting together my 1/01 sim report.  Will probably post it in a day or two.

I have had mine ready for a while, will post soonish.

Speaking of this, do you guys think we can have 1901/H1 all (or mostly) wrapped up by the end of this calender year?

I will not be source of delay.

I figure if we can get 1901H1 wrapped up when the holiday season wraps up, then we can get into a more timely pace.
