I like the 210mm version better. Its going to do a better job at wrecking lightly armored or unarmored portions due to its higher rate of fire. I think the 240mm and 280mm are just a bit to close in chariteistics, with the 240mm just not quite having that little additional umph to make it through heavy armor with constancy, to justify carrying both.

Please remember to account for torps in Misc Weight and not in the Weapons tab.
As there is no Hull below waterline weight, none of your ships have torps at this point in time.

I will go through and correct that, thank you for the catch.

While it is more correct to do it, does it really matter? Do you gain an unfair advantage with the sim if you sim the 10-20 tons for your torpedoes in the 'Hull above water' or 'freeboard deck' position instead of the 'below waterline' position?

Its the standard we have been using. Its not a major deal. What is more important is to remove the torpedos from the Weapons tab. Do not enter them there as it gets all screwed up when you save and reload sims.

The Rock Doctor

I probably have this same error all over.  I don't think it actually affects the sim math at all, though, so it's easy enough to change.

Designs look good.  I think I'd go with the 210 secondary BB as well - a little better balanced.

miketr

I am fairly happy with this design.  Good speed and combat power for what it is.  I was able to salvage a SS from the Iberian designs.  I might try a more stretched design (12 to 1 rather than 10 to 1) but I suspect this is what I will go with.

Walter

You need to shave a few tons off since the 1880 destroyer/TB tech limits the tonnage to 500 tons. Also, according the design guidelines, the cross-sectional needs to be a minimum of 0.50 (eventhough the naval tech thread states "composite hull strength > 0.49").

snip

Design guidelines are correct. One of us will edit the Naval tech to match.
