   - Armoured deck - multiple decks: 4.00" / 102 mm For and Aft decks
   Forecastle: 4.00" / 102 mm  Quarter deck: 6.00" / 152 mm

I think this should be a protected deck as opposed to armored given the lack of belts. Also, why is it thicker over the Quarterdeck then the rest of the ship?

Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

Boy, this thing's bigger than most battleships! And more expensive as well, I wonder if Parliament will sign off on it...

I thought I had changed it to a protected deck?  Maybe not, if not then it was supposed to be a protected deck.  It mentioned that the deck sloped down from a height of 3.5 feet above the waterline to about 6.5 feet below the waterline.  I wasn't sure how to sim that and figured "protected deck" covered it.

Why its 6" thick over the quarter deck where the engines are?
"The deck was 6in thick over the machinery, 4in thick over the magazines, and 2.5in thick in the middle of the ship"

Unless the magazines are all forward I figured that 4" was a good thickness for the whole deck.

Quarterdeck is the far aft of the ship, engines will be within the For and Aft decks.
