The Italians are definitely plotting something - just not what you think or where you think.
Well, er... considering the Ottomans believe the Italians are plotting everything everywhere does that mean they are, in fact, plotting nothing, nowhere?

I think Afghanistan, Persia, and Tibet are the last regions left in play. I'm not really sure how taking control of a region through non-military means is handled though. Afghanistan would have to be conquered by military force of course, but Persia and Tibet were more of an economic and political struggle. For example, Shah Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar likes to party and isn't the best statesman and has taken out large loans from and made large concessions to Russia. Depending on what happened in the 1890s, the emperor of Korea might be living in the Russian embassy right now for protection. That's not really reflected by any kind of statistic in game, but I do have a lot of soft power influence in those two countries.

This is where our story-telling skills come into play.

Walter

Our map indicates that Tibet is part of China at the moment and from what I read, that was the way it was OTL back in the late 19th/begin 20th century.

China can have Tibet.  It needs that depth against the hungry ambitions of her greatest enemy.... in the north... with fur caps.... *points towards Siberia for those who may be thinking otherwise*

Walter

I think they will be a bit furrier. :)

I thought of that at first, but I doubt that the Bears want to let the Russians have all the credit.
It's more going to be like this. ;D

ah, just the pick-me-up I needed after the first week back on the job. Yes, employed again hence my reduced activity.

Anyway, at the thread topic. India commands most of the Empire's attention at this point, tho Afghanistan is being watch.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
